1. About Budgie
Budgie is a personal budgeting app for iPhone. It helps users understand payday income, recurring expenses, yearly renewals, credit-card periods, savings, investments, and everyday spending.
2. Data Budgie does not store on our servers
Budgie is designed so that we do not collect or store the following on Budgie-operated servers:
- Budget pots and balances
- Recurring expenses and renewal dates
- Transaction history entered in the app
- Bank account balances or account details
- Savings, investment, or spending targets
- Credit-card statement-cycle information
3. Local storage
Budgeting information is designed to be stored locally on the user's device. If Budgie needs to store sensitive credentials, authentication material, or access tokens, it is designed to use the iOS Keychain or Apple-provided secure storage.
General app data, such as expense names, amounts, categories, and local budget records, may be stored in the app's protected local storage rather than inside Keychain itself.
4. Permissioned financial data
If Budgie adds support for connected financial data, access will be requested through Apple-provided permission flows. Users will control whether they grant access. Connected financial data will be used to support budgeting features such as transaction awareness, recurring-payment detection, and spending context.
5. Website data
This website is informational. It does not include user accounts, payment forms, newsletter forms, or a budget database. Hosting providers may create basic server logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.
6. No sale of financial data
Budgie does not sell personal financial data. Budgie is not designed around advertising profiles, data brokerage, or sharing user financial information with third parties for marketing.
7. No financial advice
Budgie is a budgeting and information tool. It is not a bank, lender, broker, investment adviser, tax adviser, or financial adviser. Any allocation suggestions are informational and should not be treated as regulated financial advice.
8. User control
Users should be able to add, edit, and delete their own budgeting information in the app. Users can remove Budgie from their device, which removes locally stored app data subject to normal iOS behaviour and any user-enabled device backups.
9. Changes to this policy
